Voting Cards for Vienna Elections Set to Be Distributed

Sat 29th Mar, 2025

The Vienna elections are scheduled for April 27, with the opportunity for early voting starting next week through mail-in ballots. The distribution of voting cards will commence on Monday, March 31. Voters who submit their applications in person at the local authorities will have the option to fill out and submit their ballots on-site.

As the election campaign intensifies, residents who are unable to visit their designated polling stations on the election day can apply for a voting card. This card allows them to cast their vote at any polling location or vote by mail. Applications for voting cards can be submitted in writing or online until April 23, and in person until April 25 at the relevant electoral offices.

Each district has its own electoral office, which can be found at the address of the municipal district office or its branch. Voters who apply for their voting cards in person at the electoral office can, if they wish, cast their votes immediately at that location. Private voting areas are available to ensure confidentiality during the voting process, as emphasized by officials at the city hall.

In-person voting at the electoral offices will also be available starting next Monday. It is important to ensure that mail-in voting cards are returned by the election day deadline of 5:00 PM. This timing should be taken into consideration when mailing the ballots. However, voters do not necessarily need to rely on postal services; voting cards can also be personally delivered on April 27 at any polling station or district electoral office.
