A two-year-old boy fell from a second-floor window of a multi-family building in Vienna on Friday. Fortunately, initial assessments by emergency responders revealed no apparent injuries. A follow-up ultrasound also showed no signs of internal injuries, according to reports.
The incident occurred around 12:15 PM in the Donaustadt district. A passerby witnessed the fall and promptly alerted emergency services. The child fell approximately six meters from an open window, as confirmed by police spokesperson Julia Schick.
Upon arrival, the police found the child in the arms of his 28-year-old mother. The boy was conscious and responsive, and there were no visible injuries. Emergency medical personnel provided initial care before transporting him to a hospital for further evaluation.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. The child's guardians have been reported for suspected negligent bodily harm due to the circumstances of the fall.
