Authorities in Hessen, Germany, have confirmed the recovery of the body of a six-year-old boy from a river, following an extensive search that lasted nearly a month. The boy, identified as Pawlos, had been reported missing since March 25, after he left his school in Weilburg.

The alarm was raised by a canoeist who spotted the body in the water. Emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene but could only confirm the child's death. Prior to his disappearance, Pawlos was last seen walking near the local train station, after which he seemingly vanished without a trace.

Local police immediately initiated a search operation, employing divers and drones to scour the river and its surrounding areas, but initial efforts yielded no results. Pawlos's family and community rallied together during the search, holding vigils and offering support as the search continued.

This heartbreaking incident has left the local community in shock, prompting discussions about child safety and the importance of community vigilance. Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the boy's disappearance or the recovery of his body.

As the investigation continues, community members are urged to remain alert and report any information that may assist in understanding how the events unfolded. The police have also expressed their condolences to the family during this difficult time.
