Skier Flees Scene After Collision on Tirol Ski Slope

A 62-year-old female skier from Germany was involved in a serious incident on Friday afternoon at the Schlick 2000 ski resort in Telfes, located in the Stubai Valley of Tyrol. According to police reports, she was struck from behind by an unidentified skier, causing her to lose balance and collide with a 63-year-old compatriot who was skiing ahead of her.

The collision resulted in both skiers falling, and the German woman was left unconscious at the scene. Meanwhile, the other skier was unharmed and provided initial assistance.

The skier responsible for the collision fled the scene immediately after the accident. Authorities are actively searching for this individual, who has been described as approximately 1.80 meters tall and wearing a blue ski jacket along with matching ski pants. The incident occurred roughly 100 meters above the Froneben mid-station.

The injured skier was airlifted by a rescue helicopter to the Innsbruck Clinic for medical treatment. The police are urging anyone with information regarding the fleeing skier to come forward to assist with their investigation.
