Serious Traffic Accident in Herzogenburg Linked to Health Emergency

A serious traffic accident occurred in Herzogenburg, raising concerns about road safety in the area. Just days after a tragic incident where a truck fatally injured a 76-year-old woman, another collision has taken place, this time involving a car and a minibus.

The accident happened on Friday morning around 6:15 AM on St. Pöltner Straße, near a railway crossing. According to reports, a 39-year-old woman from the St. Pölten-Land district experienced a sudden coughing fit while driving her vehicle. This unexpected health issue caused her to lose control of her car, veering into the opposite lane where it collided head-on with a minibus.

As a result of the crash, three passengers aboard the minibus sustained minor injuries. Emergency services responded quickly, transporting the injured individuals to the Universitätsklinikum St. Pölten for further evaluation and treatment. Fortunately, the driver of the car emerged from the incident without any injuries.
