Red Bull Racing's managing director has expressed confidence in the continued partnership with reigning Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen. In a recent interview, he indicated that Verstappen is expected to remain with the team through the 2026 season, despite ongoing speculation about his future.

Managing director Oliver Mintzlaff conveyed his belief that Verstappen will stay with Red Bull, stating that his long-term journey with the team would continue. Mintzlaff dismissed any concerns regarding potential exit clauses in Verstappen's contract, which runs until the end of 2028. He emphasized that Verstappen's commitment is reinforced by the contract he signed, as well as his recent public statements regarding his intentions.

Verstappen, who has been a part of Red Bull's racing program since his early career, first drove for the team in 2016 after a successful stint with Toro Rosso, now known as AlphaTauri. Since then, he has established himself as one of the sport's leading drivers, achieving 64 Grand Prix victories and securing multiple World Championships from 2021 to 2024.

Despite facing challenges with the car's performance in the current season, Verstappen remains focused on reclaiming the championship lead. He is currently trailing Lando Norris in the standings but has the opportunity to regain the top spot in the upcoming Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

Mintzlaff highlighted the mutual benefit of the relationship between Verstappen and Red Bull, noting that both parties have significantly contributed to each other's successes. As Verstappen prepares for the race, the team is optimistic about his ability to navigate through the difficulties posed by the current vehicle's performance.
