Raiffeisen Invests in Education at Paracelsus Medical University

Raiffeisen Salzburg has announced its commitment to supporting the Paracelsus Medical Private University (PMU) as of 2025. This initiative aims to enhance the quality education of young, aspiring individuals in the medical field.

The support from Raiffeisen Salzburg highlights the importance of positioning Salzburg as a prominent hub for science and education. The organization views this investment as a significant step towards fostering future talent in the region.

PMU's rector expressed gratitude for this new partnership, emphasizing the university's efforts to provide scholarships that enable talented students, regardless of their financial background, to pursue studies in medicine, nursing, or pharmacy.

Raiffeisen Salzburg has been a cornerstone of the local economy for over a century, deeply integrated into the social and economic fabric of the region. The bank not only provides financial services but also actively promotes cultural, educational, social, environmental, and sports initiatives. In addition to supporting PMU, Raiffeisen collaborates with various educational institutions, including the Paris Lodron University and the FH Salzburg.

With a legacy of over 130 years in Salzburg, Raiffeisen Salzburg employs approximately 1,700 staff members across its banking and trading divisions. The Paracelsus Medical Private University, established in Salzburg in 2002, is notable for its unique combination of disciplines in human medicine, nursing science, and pharmacy, delivering robust research output and high-quality professional education. A second campus in Nuremberg was inaugurated in 2014 in partnership with the Nuremberg Clinic, further extending PMU's reach in medical education.
