First Communication Drill of the Year Conducted by Marchegg Fire Department

The Marchegg fire department successfully held its inaugural communication exercise of the year on March 17 and 18 in Schönfeld im March. This event, organized by section communications officer Lukas Bittner, attracted a total of 75 enthusiastic participants over the two days.

The primary objective of the exercise was to enhance the communication skills and operational readiness of the fire department members. Participants engaged in various scenarios designed to simulate real-life emergencies, ensuring they could effectively coordinate and communicate under pressure.

During the drill, members were trained on the latest communication techniques and equipment. This included practical demonstrations of radio usage and strategies for maintaining clear communication during high-stress situations. The event fostered teamwork and collaboration among the firefighters, reinforcing the importance of efficient communication in emergency response.
