Fire Brigade Feichsen Celebrates Centenary with Community Events

Thu 10th Apr, 2025

The Feichsen Fire Brigade is commemorating its 100th anniversary with a series of events that reflect its commitment to community service and emergency response. During the recent annual meeting, Brigade Commander Daniel Fallmann highlighted the significant contributions made by the brigade over the past year, including ten fire-related incidents and 37 technical emergencies, all handled in collaboration with neighboring fire departments in the district.

In 2024, the brigade faced numerous challenges, including the severe flooding that occurred in September. Fortunately, the Scheibbs district emerged relatively unscathed compared to other regions, thanks to the preparedness and swift action of local fire services.

This year marks a special milestone for the Feichsen Fire Brigade, and the community is invited to join in the celebrations. Following a successful anniversary ball held during the winter months, the main festivities are scheduled to take place from August 15 to 17, culminating in a formal ceremony on August 18. This event promises to be a highlight, celebrating not just the history of the brigade but also its integral role in community safety.

Additionally, the brigade is excited to announce the addition of a new emergency vehicle, an HLF-1, which will be blessed during the anniversary celebrations on August 18. This new equipment will enhance their operational capabilities and ensure that they are better equipped to handle emergencies in the future.

As the Feichsen Fire Brigade moves into its second century, it remains dedicated to its mission of protecting and serving the community. The upcoming celebrations are a testament to the hard work and dedication of its members, as well as the support from the local residents who have been integral to its success over the last century.
