The Waldhausen-Großgöttfritz Music School Association, established in September 1995, recently bid farewell to one of its founding members, Johann Hofbauer, who has played a significant role in shaping the organization. Over the years, the association expanded its reach, welcoming additional municipalities such as Rastenfeld, Schweiggers, and Zwettl, culminating in a robust network consisting of five communities.

Under the leadership of Alexander Kastner, the Regional Music School has flourished, offering music education across all five member municipalities. The current school year promises to be eventful, featuring numerous projects, competitions, and concerts designed to engage students and foster musical talents within the community.

Hofbauer's contributions have been pivotal in the development of the music program, which emphasizes not only musical education but also community involvement and cultural enrichment. The association aims to provide a platform where students can develop their skills and showcase their talents through various performances and collaborative events.

The commitment to music education in these regions is evident, with a diverse array of classes and workshops available to students of all ages and skill levels. The association's initiatives are geared towards nurturing a love for music and encouraging artistic expression, ensuring that the legacy of Hofbauer continues through the generations of musicians he has inspired.

As the Waldhausen-Großgöttfritz Music School Association moves forward, it remains dedicated to enhancing the musical landscape of the Waldviertel-Mitte region.
