In a significant community effort, approximately 130 volunteers from the five villages in the Eckartsau municipality participated in this year's traditional cleanup event. Initially scheduled to take place on a different date, the event was postponed due to inclement weather. However, on the rescheduled day, residents gathered under sunny skies to contribute to the beautification of their surroundings.
Overall, the volunteers collected an impressive total of 55 bags of general waste, along with four bags for recyclables and a variety of bulky refuse items. This initiative not only helped in cleaning up the local environment but also fostered a sense of community among the participants.
The village leaders expressed their gratitude to all the volunteers by providing a small snack after the cleanup. With the successful completion of this event, the community looks forward to enjoying a cleaner and more pleasant environment.
