The Setzer winery, located in the picturesque village of Hohenwarth, boasts a rich history spanning 320 years. Initially, the family farm focused on agriculture and livestock, with a few vineyards included in their operations. However, in 2001, the family transitioned from mixed farming to a dedicated winemaking enterprise.

Today, Hans Setzer, alongside his wife Uli and their children Marie-Theres and Eugen, manages the winery, which cultivates approximately 30 hectares of vineyards. The Setzers have established themselves as a prominent name in the local wine community, with Hans also serving as the chairman of the Wine Committee of Weinviertel, a region renowned for its viticulture.

The winery's commitment to quality is evident in its meticulous production methods and dedication to sustainable practices. The Setzers pride themselves on creating wines that reflect the unique terroir of their vineyards, showcasing the distinct flavors and characteristics of the region.

In addition to producing high-quality wines, the Setzer family embraces a vegan philosophy, aligning their winemaking processes with their ethical beliefs. This approach not only appeals to a growing market of environmentally conscious consumers but also reinforces their commitment to sustainability.

The longevity of the Setzer winery is a testament to the family's dedication and passion for winemaking. As they celebrate over three centuries of history, the Setzers continue to innovate and adapt, ensuring that their wines remain relevant and sought after in today's competitive market.
