Wedding celebrations end in fight

Munich. Anything but harmonious was how a wedding ceremony ended in Taufkirchen: the celebration got out of hands when guests and staff got into a fight. Police are investigating a case of attempted homicide.

On sunday evening about 300 guests were celebrating a wedding at a restaurant in Taufkirchen. During the celebrations an argument erupted between some of the guests and staff of the restaurant. According to police, reasons for the dispute still remain unknown.

The fight escalated at around 7:45 PM when up to 30 guests resorted to violence. Four people were slightly injured, and 2 suffered from severe injuries and were brought to a hospital.

The dispute lasted until the police arrived and could only be stopped with heavy police presence .

As of now 5 suspects have been arrested. Based on the severity of one of the victim's injuries, the homicide squad are investigating a case of attempted murder.
