A warm welcome to our roast chicken station 'Zum Hammerwirt'. For 40 years, we have been offering hearty dishes in cozy rooms along with Bavarian hospitality. Our roast chicken station in Wegscheid is located in the southern Bavarian Forest in the Passau district near the Austrian border and invites you to linger and enjoy. Our specialties include roast chicken, curry sausage, Austrian cheese krainer, and homemade pork knuckles. Our pork knuckles are cured, brined, cooked, and roasted. Each dish is served with fries and fresh hearty cabbage and potato salad. We kindly ask that reservations be made exclusively by phone. Reservations are unfortunately not possible on Sundays and public holidays. Dogs are not allowed.
