Section: Arts
Wirtshaus 'Zum Wofen' is a cozy restaurant located in the traditional Bavarian open-air museum of Markus Wasmeier. The establishment is a restored farmhouse dating back to 1732, situated along an ancient Roman road south of Munich. It serves as the largest farm in the museum, having been used for various purposes over the years, including a prison, a farm, an inn, and a blacksmith shop. Today, it offers a delightful dining experience with Bavarian specialties made from local products and original beer brewed on-site. The restaurant features 80 seats in the vaulted cellar, several old parlors, and a beer garden, providing ample space for visitors to relax before, during, or after their museum visit. The first floor houses a historical barn available for larger groups, making it an ideal venue for celebrations such as corporate events, birthdays, or weddings.
