Welcome to the Waldkindergarten 'Maienkäfer' e.V. in Herbrechtingen. Here, children experience their immediate environment playfully, learn about nature and the seasons intensively, and develop a gentle approach to all forms of life. In this natural setting, all their senses are engaged as they explore their world. Our kindergarten grounds are located in Engelswaldweg, on a beautiful meadow right at the edge of the forest. We have a shelter, a fire pit, swings, playhouses, a swing rope, a sandbox, and a sledding hill. In the summer, we find a shady spot for playing and morning circles in the small forest behind the shelter. The adjacent forest and heath have many special places that we visit repeatedly, such as the 'forest playground', the 'jungle', the 'pirate ship', the 'forest sofa', or the 'spring'. Each place holds its own wonders and adventures. Our shelter includes a group room, a cloakroom area, and a changing area, equipped with a large stove for warming up on cold days and for baking treats. There are various toys, a doll corner, a farm, picture books, art supplies, and many crafting and working materials available.
