Welcome to the restaurant "Trödler zur Burgschenke" located on the Esslinger Burg in a unique ambiance. The kitchen is known for its traditional Swabian specialties, ranging from Swabian onion roast to sausage salad. Here, you can expect exquisite regional and international wines. Our traditional beer comes from the Baisinger Brewery. The restaurant was completely renovated in 1994, preserving the spacious rooms while creating cozy areas in the front section. The Ritter Hall, Dungeon Room, and Castle Room were designed to enhance the experience. Additionally, the inventory was complemented with items from Hohenzollern Castle (knight armor, swords, halberds, etc.). A beer garden with over 400 seats and ancient plane trees was established on the castle walls, which was selected as one of the 10 most beautiful beer gardens in Southern Germany by the ADAC travel guide in 1998.
