Traditional Tavern and Monument Spitalkeller Regensburg, a former summer cellar complex of the St. Katharinenspital Foundation, combines tradition and enjoyment in a unique historical setting. Its origins date back to the 17th century and include a tavern, summer house, barn, cask hall, barrel vault, and beer garden. The cask hall houses the largest whisky collection in the world - the 'Walhalla of Whisky', a paradise for connoisseurs and lovers of fine spirits. The over 200-year-old terraced beer garden, shaped by Bavarian beer garden culture, accommodates up to 450 people and features a grandstand and a spacious children's playground. Guests can exclusively enjoy the in-house whisky selection and the original Spital-Kellerbier, brewed according to the traditional recipe of the Spital brewery from the 19th century.
