Welcome to our restaurant ship Klipper! The 'KLIPPER' is a sailing ship from 1890, built in Groningen, which served in the Dutch Wadden Sea to supply the Frisian islands with perishable goods. Since May 3, 2001, the two-masted ship has been fully restored and converted into a restaurant. Today, the 'KLIPPER' is permanently moored at the Spreeufer of Bulgarische Straße in Berlin-Treptow, exactly between Plänterwald and Treptower Park. The ship is 31.70m long and 5.70m wide, with masts reaching a height of 24m. The former cargo hold now houses the kitchen, bar, a large oven, and a dining area for 40 people. Another dining area for 20 people is located in the former crew quarters, known as the Roof. In nice weather, guests can also sit on deck, either around the steering wheel or in deck chairs on the foredeck. Our Seepavillon, connected by a small jetty to our main facility, accommodates up to 30 people at round tables. In winter, the Seepavillon is heated with a fireplace, allowing guests to enjoy the panoramic view of the water year-round. Equipped with a video projector, screen, and sound system, the room is also ideal for seminars or family celebrations. Our water terraces are built on the Spree, offering numerous cozy spots to dine and enjoy the magnificent view of the 'Abteibrücke' or the beautiful water surface. The jetty is also well-suited for larger events, accommodating up to 200 people. With the historic barge 'Rugenbergen' from the Hamburg harbor, we offer individually designed tours on the Berlin waters. Up to 28 people can either self-cater or rely on the culinary offerings from the 'KLIPPER' restaurant. Our chef, Gerd Schulze, and his large team prepare a culinary mix of fresh market ingredients, oriented towards international cuisine. Additionally, our kitchen team smokes fresh fish and meat several times a week. For your private or professional occasions, we are happy to create classic menus and buffets tailored to your needs.
