Since 1831, Schwetzinger Brauhaus zum Ritter has been a brewery and restaurant located at Schlossplatz 1 in Schwetzingen. Its prime location at the entrance of Schwetzingen Palace, with its Rococo theater and Germany's most beautiful baroque palace garden, has made the 'Ritter' well-known beyond the region. In 1997, the Schwetzinger Brauhaus zum Ritter was founded with the goal of reviving the old brewing tradition. After acquiring the historic property and undergoing renovations under strict monument protection regulations, it reopened on July 14, 1998. The brewery offers house-brewed, fresh, and unfiltered beers, emphasizing quality and regional ingredients in its seasonal and international dishes. The motto is 'Caring and down-to-earth hospitality with heart and class.'
