Once upon a time… It all began in the summer of 2009, when the news spread in Heslach that the innkeeper of the beloved Ritterstüble would close its doors. In the absence of a successor, brave knights decided to establish the association Tafelrunde des Ritters e.V. to continue operating the Ritterstüble. The doors reopened, and many happy years passed where people drank, dined, debated, laughed, celebrated, and enjoyed social interaction. Everyone wished for many more years of this. However, a dark cloud gathered over the Ritter, and despite the efforts of brave knights to save it, they could not avert the end in the face of overwhelming financial difficulties. The Ritterstüble closed at the end of July 2024. But where there is shadow, there is also light. Amidst all the activities and desperate attempts to save the Ritterstüble, life returned to the somewhat dusty club life. With this energy, we decided to make a fresh start. Many hurdles had to be overcome, and at times we lost our courage. However, with the commitment of many club members, we were finally able to reopen the Ritterstüble on October 14, 2024, under the leadership of the Kulturverein Heslach e.V.
