A paradise for hikers, climbers, and nature lovers, the Neue Traunsteiner Hütte is located at an altitude of 1,600 meters on the wild romantic Hochplateau of the Reiteralpe in the Berchtesgaden Alps. Surrounded by impressive peaks and nestled between larch and pine forests, this hut offers a serene experience of nature. Accessible only on foot, it provides a unique opportunity to enjoy the flora and fauna typically found at much higher elevations. The hut is open from mid-May to mid-October and has approximately 80 sleeping places. Please note that there is no Wi-Fi or internet connection available, and only cash payments are accepted.
