The Naturfreundehaus Donautal is located in a secluded area along the left bank of the Donautal hiking trail, above Neidingen and 20 minutes from the famous Schaufelsengruppe. This hiking and cycling path follows the Danube River to Passau. Along the first stage of this route, from Donaueschingen, the source of the Danube, to Sigmaringen, many sights can be discovered. The area offers numerous viewpoints, old castles, ruins, and monasteries. The Naturfreundehaus provides accommodation for self-catering with up to 30 guests, featuring various rooms and a communal kitchen. It is an ideal spot for outdoor activities, including hiking and cycling, with many trails in the vicinity.
