Mitterteich is also known as a glass city, with a long tradition of glass manufacturing. The SCHOTT AG, located in Mitterteich, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of glass tubes. The museum also features a section on craftsmanship and industry, highlighting traditional crafts. In the museum's ground floor, there is a factory outlet where visitors can purchase porcelain, ceramics, glassware, wine, gifts, tea, and accessories. Guided tours for groups and schools are available upon request.
