About Münchner Marionettentheater

The Münchner Marionettentheater celebrates a double anniversary: 125 years of the theater and 25 years under the direction of Siegfried Böhmke. The theater has a rich tradition of over 165 years, with the first permanent stone building for a puppet theater established in 1900. It offers a captivating experience of puppet artistry for both children and adults. The theater is currently closed for summer break from June 23 to July 29, with ticket sales resuming on July 30. A special anniversary flea market will be held on September 6, 2025, from 4 PM to 10 PM. Upcoming performances include 'Spuk im Spielzeugladen' for children aged 4 and older, 'Der Nussknacker' for children aged 6 and older, and 'Don Giovanni' for teenagers and adults.
