Dear Hoftheater friends, a large red heart made of chili peppers has been a promise for over 20 years as the Hoftheater logo, indicating that in the lovingly restored old farmhouse in Scherzheim, it is witty, funny, and hot. The small green heart in the middle clearly signals that in the garden of the property, the green thumb of the director and his staff reigns. Green represents a mindful approach to nature, while red peppers promise that it gets hot when cabaret artists formulate sharp-witted punchlines in the over 100-year-old former farmhouse. Laughter is encouraged, especially as it has a liberating effect. We enjoy laughing from below at the responsible and powerful figures in politics, business, and society who determine our fate.
