About Historische Wurstkuchl

The historic Wurstkuchl in Regensburg is the oldest sausage kitchen in the world, standing next to the Danube whirlpool and the Stone Bridge for over 500 years. It has remained a favorite spot for Regensburg's stone masons and dock workers since the Middle Ages, featuring an open charcoal grill, homemade sausages made from pure pork hindquarters, sauerkraut from its own fermentation cellar, and the famous Wurstkuchl mustard made from a historical recipe by Elsa Schricker.
