About Die Ecke

Restaurant 'Die Ecke' is located in the heart of Augsburg, just behind the town hall. Established in 1577, it has been serving as a wine tavern since its inception. During the Augsburg Reichstag, emperors and kings dined here, and notable figures such as Elias Holl, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Bertolt Brecht, and Rudolf Diesel have visited. Today, it continues to attract well-known artists and politicians. The restaurant combines modernity with tradition, and since 1995, it has been a member of the 'Chaîne des Rôtisseurs', a global association of gourmet chefs. The restaurant offers a seasonal menu rooted in Swabian-Bavarian cuisine with Mediterranean influences, sourcing ingredients primarily from local suppliers. The restaurant features over 100 wine selections, including renowned classics and lesser-known wines from both the old and new worlds. With a capacity of 60 seats, a separate artist room for up to 25 people, and a gallery restaurant on the first floor for up to 35 people, it is an ideal venue for various celebrations. The outdoor seating area, known as 'Höfle', provides a charming way to enjoy meals in pleasant weather.
