The largest program cinema in Germany with more than 670 seats and laser projection. Located in a magnificent theater building at Bahnhof Zoo, the Delphi Filmpalast features a temple-like exterior and a splendid interior with a 4K laser projection Cinemascope screen. It has been one of the most important premiere cinemas and Berlinale venues in the city for decades, forming a cultural center in West Berlin alongside Bikini-Haus, Galerie C/O, and Helmut-Newton-Museum. The building was designed by renowned architect Bernhard Sehring in the late 1920s, originally as a dance hall. After being heavily damaged in World War II, it was restored and reopened as a modern cinema in 1949. The Delphi Filmpalast has undergone several transformations over the decades and is one of the few remaining cinemas in Germany that still shows films in 70mm format.
