With house pianists like Wolfgang Lauth, later Karl Berger and Jutta Hipp, as well as legendary performances by Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, and other jazz greats who held jam sessions here after their military gigs. Fritz Rau, once the treasurer at Cave, started his career as a concert promoter here. Cave is an integral part of German jazz history and is now indispensable in Heidelberg!
