Café im Holzhaus has been operated by the Stephan family since June 2010. It is located on the outskirts of Grögling, offering a beautiful view of the Altmühl and Hirschberg Castle. The small beer garden invites cyclists, hikers, and boaters to enjoy a cozy snack or coffee with homemade cakes and pastries. The café is also available for private celebrations and events tailored to your wishes. Culinary specialties include regional products such as sausages from local butchers, farm ice cream from the Stengl family in Kerkhofen, and wood-fired bread from the Huber family in Vogelthal. The café also produces its own fruits and vegetables when possible, homemade cakes and pastries, eggs from their own chickens, juices from local orchards, and flour from ancient grain varieties. A specialty is the grilled fish with pretzel, available only on request for a minimum of 10 people.
