The Burg-Café in Meersburg is located in the magnificent Baroque hall, which once served the Prince-Bishops of Constance for representation. On the accompanying café terrace, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the lake, the mountains, and the castle. Here, you can indulge in delicious cakes and snacks or an aperitif in the sunshine, away from the hustle and bustle. The café can be visited without a ticket for the castle museum by purchasing a mini ticket for two euros at the cash register, which will be credited back at the café. The mini ticket is only valid for the short walk to the Burg-Café. In the garden by the Marienbrunnen, an oasis of tranquility within the castle, you can take a break among old walls and rose vines at the Burgschenke. In good weather, enjoy a pause by the romantically bubbling Baroque fountain. In addition to a rich snack menu, pancakes in many variations are the house specialty - whether sweet or savory, there is something for everyone. Our cakes and tortes are sourced from bakers and confectioners from Meersburg and the region. During the Christmas season, the Burg-Café offers a special Christmas menu with selected delicacies, creating a festive atmosphere around the Christmas tree in the Baroque hall, where you can enjoy hot Aperol, mulled wine, Germknödel, or Schupfnudeln in a cozy ambiance with a wonderful view of the winter Bodensee.
