On April 23, 1516, the 'Bavarian Purity Law' was enacted here, which still holds in breweries today. Nothing but barley (malt), hops, water, and yeast should be used in brewing beer. This historical principle is particularly adhered to at Brauhaus 1516, and for good reason. The inn boasts the only 'shopping center brewery' in Europe. In the middle of the dining area, visible to everyone, stands a modern microbrewery. As a visitor, you gain a direct impression of how complex it is to produce good beer.
