Since 1856, the brewery has been owned by the Schuhmann family, and it is likely to remain so for many years to come. Currently, the two sons of Dieter Schuhmann have stepped into their father's shoes and take care of the estate's affairs. Christian Schuhmann is responsible for brewing the beer, while Peter Schuhmann prepares Franconian specialties such as hearty filled beer brewer schnitzel or the popular brewer pan with dark beer sauce in the renovated kitchen from 2005. On Sundays, there is also a rich lunch menu featuring Schäufela, goose breast, and seasonal dishes. In 2005, the brewery also received a new highlight: a handcrafted, wrought-iron brewery sign that draws the attention of both locals and tourists passing through Bischberg. Visitors can also stay overnight, as a total of 18 guest rooms are available, five of which were newly added in 2008. In 2000, the brewery was modernized with the construction of a new fermentation and storage cellar, where Sonnenpils, Helles Premium Lager, Zunft Trunk Dunkel, seasonal Bock beer, and unfiltered wheat beer are stored. The beer is sold in bottles or party barrels. Visitors interested in the beer production can be guided through the brewery by Christian Schuhmann upon request. At the end, guests can enjoy the beer in the guest room (50 seats) or in the Fischerstube (30 seats). For weddings and birthdays, the Braustube is available, accommodating 50 people.
