Sat 31st May, 2025

King Charles III of the United Kingdom has been presented with a luxurious Rolls-Royce as part of the gifts he received for his coronation. This notable gift was bestowed upon him by the King of Bahrain, according to a recent disclosure from the royal palace. The announcement details the official presents that members of the Royal Family have received over the past few years.

In addition to the opulent automobile, the monarch was gifted several other items, including hiking boots. The list of gifts spans from 2020 to 2023 and includes contributions from various heads of state, organizations, and during official state visits. The Rolls-Royce is designated strictly for official use, such as state events, as reported by the British news agency PA.

During his coronation, which took place two years ago, King Charles also received a variety of gifts including a feather crown, perfume, hiking boots, cufflinks, a sword, and multiple plants. Notably, former U.S. President Joe Biden gifted him a leather portfolio containing printed letters exchanged between his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, and U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

The list of gifts also includes items from Germany, reflecting the king's state visit there in March 2023. During this visit, he was presented with a watch, an insect hotel, and a collection of CDs and DVDs featuring the works of Ludwig van Beethoven.

Furthermore, the heir to the throne, Prince William, and his wife, Princess Kate, received snorkeling gear during a trip to the Caribbean, which included a wetsuit and diving fins. This visit in 2022 was marked by protests against the royal family.

It has been clarified that while official gifts may be used, they are not regarded as personal property of the royals. These gifts cannot be sold or exchanged and are eventually incorporated into the royal collection.
