Kärnten's Red-Black Coalition Government Engages in Strategic Discussions

The members of the Red-Black coalition government in Kärnten convened on Monday for a coalition retreat aimed at reinforcing their governance strategy. The meeting commenced at 9:00 AM at Hotel Dermuth, where the officials focused on aligning their collaborative efforts following the recent election of Daniel Fellner as the new head of the SPÖ in Kärnten.

Among the key agenda items was a review of their previous cooperation, alongside discussions on priority initiatives projected for the remainder of their term. The next scheduled elections for the Kärnten state parliament are set for 2028, allowing ample time for the coalition to delve into significant reforms.

A pivotal topic of discussion is expected to be the upcoming operational launch of the Koralmbahn, which is slated for December. The coalition members expressed a desire to keep the meeting open-ended, signaling their commitment to thorough and comprehensive deliberations without being constrained by time limits.
