Christian Lacher Appointed Director of IT at Acredia

Wien - Christian Lacher has officially taken on the role of Director of IT at Acredia, Austria's leading credit insurance provider. With over two decades of experience in the fields of information technology, consulting, and financial services, Lacher brings a wealth of expertise to the position. Prior to joining Acredia, he served as the Head of Agile Delivery for the Pension Fund at Raiffeisen Group-IT, where he was responsible for the development and management of IT systems for Valida Pensionskasse.

Lacher emphasizes the importance of digital processes for Acredia, highlighting the necessity of aligning IT strategies closely with operational workflows. He noted that the company processes vast amounts of data daily from various markets, countries, and companies, which is essential for making informed decisions that benefit clients.

Collaboration between IT and business departments is a priority for Lacher. He is spearheading a significant initiative to create a new cloud strategy that will meet user requirements while adhering to strict compliance regulations. Lacher aims to position Acredia as a digital leader within the insurance industry.

Acredia, a subsidiary of Oesterreichische Kontrollbank AG and Allianz Trade, protects receivables worth over EUR35.7 billion both domestically and internationally, making it the foremost credit insurer in Austria. In 2024, the group reported a total revenue of EUR88.3 million.
