ChangAn Unveils 'Together for a Smarter World' Initiative at Auto Shanghai 2025

ChangAn Automobile has introduced its theme 'Together for a Smarter World' at the Auto Shanghai 2025, outlining a comprehensive three-pronged strategy aimed at enhancing intelligent and sustainable mobility. The announcement was made on April 23, showcasing the company's progress in three pivotal initiatives: the Shangri-La Mission, the Dubhe 2.0 Plan, and the Vast Ocean Plan, each signifying a new phase in their commitment to energy innovation, intelligence, and global outreach.

The Chairman of ChangAn Automobile emphasized the automotive sector's transition into the 'second half of intelligence,' where success hinges on leadership in intelligence, globalization, and energy diversification--pillars that form the foundation of ChangAn's operations. The company remains steadfast in its strategy of consistent and bold advancement as it transforms into a leader in intelligent and low-carbon mobility technology.

As part of the Shangri-La Mission, ChangAn is rapidly progressing in the field of new energy vehicles. To cater to the diverse needs of a vast global customer base, the company has launched several electric vehicle brands, including AVATR, DEEPAL, and CHANG-AN, rolling out a total of 22 new energy models to date. Significant breakthroughs in the core areas of 'three electrics'--batteries, motors, and electric control--have been achieved, including the introduction of the Golden-Shield battery, capable of charging from 30% to 80% in under ten minutes due to its 5C fast-charging technology. The new integrated BlueCore 3.0 powertrain features innovative range-extending technology, and the electric dual-motor drive system in plug-in hybrids seamlessly transitions between hybrid and range-extending modes. Collaborations with CATL for the development of solid-state batteries and battery recycling further enhance ChangAn's new energy ecosystem.

The Dubhe 2.0 Plan focuses on intelligence, supported by a research and development team of 5,000 personnel. By 2020, the company had achieved full intelligent connectivity across its entire product line, introducing over 20 industry-leading technologies, such as the Intelligent TS Drive and Intelligent TY Cockpit. The CHANG-AN Intelligent TS-Drive system, which is built on the CHANG-AN SDA platform, offers collision avoidance in low visibility conditions and superior night vision capabilities. Furthermore, strategic partnerships with leading tech firms have been established to integrate top-tier resources in the development of new energy brands.

ChangAn's Vast Ocean Plan has accelerated its international sales, with projections for 2024 indicating an excess of 536,000 vehicles, positioning the company among the top three in the industry. The company's expansion includes six subsidiaries in Thailand, Mexico, and Germany, along with nine KD plants. The ChangAn Auto Thailand Factory, the company's first international production facility for new energy vehicles, is set to commence operations soon. Since launching the Vast Ocean Plan in 2023, ChangAn has organized 22 regional brand conferences, entered 11 new markets, and established 750 new distribution channels, bringing its total to over 9,000 global locations.
