Emergency Response Drill Simulates Major Chemical Incident in Strasshof

In a striking exercise resembling a nightmare scenario, emergency services conducted a large-scale drill in Strasshof involving a simulated catastrophic event. The scenario involved a truck carrying hazardous liquids colliding with multiple tank wagons at a railway crossing. In addition to the primary incident, two passenger vehicles were also caught in the chaos, resulting in several locations experiencing uncontrolled chemical leaks.

As part of the drill, over 220 emergency personnel were deployed to manage the situation, which simulated significant injuries and the complexity of hazardous material spills. A total of eleven individuals were reported injured, with some sustaining severe injuries after being trapped within the wreckage of the vehicles involved in the collision.
