MT Group Signs Major Contract with Everllence Switzerland for 5 MW High-Speed Compressor Delivery

Zürich, Switzerland / Vilnius, Lithuania - MT Group has officially entered into a significant agreement with Everllence Switzerland, formerly known as MAN Energy Solutions, to supply a 5 MW high-speed electric compressor equipped with an integrated magnetic bearing system for the Jauniunai compression station in Lithuania.

This landmark contract emphasizes the ongoing partnership between MT Group and Amber Grid, Lithuania's national gas transmission system operator, aimed at modernizing Europe's strategic energy infrastructure. The Lithuanian gas pipeline network serves as a regional conduit for gas transportation to the north (Latvia) and south (Poland). To facilitate the transport of large gas volumes over extensive distances, the pressure within the pipeline must be boosted approximately every 150 to 250 kilometers using compressors.

The MOPICO® compressor system, which is hermetically sealed and powered entirely by renewable energy, allows for operation without direct CO2 emissions. By integrating MECOS magnetic bearing technology, this system achieves unprecedented efficiency, eliminating friction losses and reducing maintenance needs. The omission of dry gas seal systems and the entire lubrication system simplifies the design and enhances overall reliability. This development marks a significant advancement towards aligning energy infrastructure with climate neutrality and sustainability objectives.

Mindaugas Zakaras, the CEO of MT Group, remarked that this agreement with Everllence exemplifies the fusion of cutting-edge technology and sustainability. He highlighted that by incorporating renewable energy and emission-free compression into Amber Grid's network, they are modernizing critical infrastructure while laying the foundation for a cleaner and more resilient energy future for Europe.

Dr. Kristina Norvaisiene, Managing Director of MT Group, emphasized that the 5 MW high-speed compressor with magnetic bearing technology represents state-of-the-art engineering and a clear commitment to climate neutrality goals. She expressed pride in being part of this collaboration with Amber Grid and Everllence, both of which are promoting innovation and sustainability in the European energy sector.

Basil Zweifel, Senior Vice President of Sales & Project Management at Everllence, stated that they are proud to collaborate with MT Group and Amber Grid on this pioneering project. He noted that their compressor technology embodies decades of innovation in turbomachinery and offers unmatched operational flexibility, efficiency, and reliability. Additionally, their hermetically sealed, electrically driven compressor enables cost-effective operations without the need for lubrication or diffuse emissions, making a substantial contribution to Europe's energy transition.

Wiebke Korfitsen, Head of Commercial Bid Management at Everllence, added that the signing of this contract marks a significant advancement in their partnership, based on a shared commitment to impactful solutions. She highlighted Everllence's focus on delivering results that matter--tailored to meet clients' operational requirements while emphasizing long-term value and sustainability.
