Man Dies After Altercation Near School in Malmö - Murder Investigation Underway

Emergency services responded to a report of a disturbance at Stenkulaskolan, an elementary school located in the Östra Sorgenfri district of Malmö, shortly before 9 PM. Upon arrival, authorities found a man in his sixties who had sustained injuries. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.

According to police, the injured individual was reportedly walking his dog when the incident occurred. Investigators are treating the case as a murder due to the unclear circumstances surrounding the man's death. They are currently working to determine whether the injuries were related to the altercation, a fall, or an assault.

The area where the man was found is adjacent to a green space near the school. In the wake of the incident, local residents have expressed their shock and concern. A bouquet of white roses and a candle were placed at the scene as a tribute.

One local resident, who regularly walks her dog in the area, described it as a typically peaceful neighborhood populated by families and retirees. She noted that the presence of young men in the vicinity occasionally causes unease among residents. The recent event has added to her feelings of vulnerability.

As of now, no individuals have been apprehended, and the group of younger men believed to be involved in the altercation has not been identified. During the course of the evening and into the night, police conducted a forensic examination of the scene and went door-to-door in the neighborhood seeking information.
