Historic European Cup Victory for Wiener Neudorf/Mödling Squash Team

The men's squash team representing Wiener Neudorf and Mödling achieved a remarkable milestone by securing their first-ever European Cup victory. The squad featured prominent players including Balasz Farkas, currently ranked in the top 50 globally, Emyr Evans, who stands within the top 70, as well as Simon Rösner, a former world number three. Additional team members included Jakob Dirnberger, Marcus Greslehner, and Michael Haunschmid.

Throughout the group stage of the tournament, the team displayed exceptional performance, defeating Fitzwilliam TC from Ireland and Grasshoppers from Switzerland, both with a convincing score of 4:0. This strong showing propelled them into the knockout stages of the competition.
