Hertha BSC Welcomes Back Trio to Training as Kownacki Continues Recovery
Hertha BSC has received a boost as three players have returned to team training following long injury spells. Jay Brooks, Diego Demme, and Paul Seguin have all rejoined their teammates as they prepare for their upcoming match.
In contrast, forward Dawid Kownacki is still on the sidelines, recuperating from an injury sustained during a recent match against Paderborn. Kownacki was taken to the hospital after a collision with the opposing goalkeeper during the game, which resulted in a 0-2 defeat for Hertha. According to club reports, he suffered a bleeding ear and is currently undergoing a careful recovery process.
Coach Stefan Leitl has indicated that Kownacki is making progress but will require additional time to return to full training. Meanwhile, Brooks and Seguin, who have yet to make their competitive debuts for Hertha, are expected to gradually reintegrate into the squad.
Brooks, who was signed in the summer of 2024, had been sidelined for the entire previous season due to a muscle injury sustained in a friendly match. Seguin also faced significant challenges during pre-season, missing large portions of training. Demme, on the other hand, had been dealing with dizziness issues and had to sit out after his initial appearance in the season opener against Schalke 04.
As Hertha prepares for their next fixture against 1. FC Nürnberg on Sunday, the team is hopeful that the return of Brooks, Demme, and Seguin will strengthen their lineup. The match is scheduled to kick off at 13:30 hours and will be broadcast on Sky.
