Multiple Accidents Reported on Easter Traffic Routes
This Easter holiday has seen a significant rise in traffic incidents across various highways, causing considerable delays for motorists. Reports indicate that traffic on the E4 highway between Norrköping and Linköping is severely congested due to a trailer blocking the southbound lane near the Norsholms Bridge. Authorities have confirmed a collision involving multiple vehicles, leading to the closure of the right lane as they await the arrival of recovery services.
In the vicinity of Linköping, another accident occurred on the E4, with several cars involved in a crash in the northbound direction. Emergency services are currently on the scene to manage the situation and assist those affected.
In Skillingaryd, a collision between a passenger vehicle and a truck has been reported on the E4 northbound. Fortunately, all four individuals involved escaped with non-life-threatening injuries. Both vehicles will require towing, and drivers are advised to exercise caution in the area as traffic may be impacted.
Earlier this morning, a separate incident occurred on the E18 outside Västerås, where a truck collided with a car. The truck driver was cited for causing the accident while changing lanes.
Another accident on the E20 at Hällbybrunn in Eskilstuna involved a car crashing into a wire barrier. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries from this incident, according to local police.
Additionally, on the E4 near Jönköping, between Ekhagen and A6, one lane has been closed due to ongoing roadworks, which could further exacerbate traffic conditions.
Motorists are urged to remain vigilant and exercise patience as recovery efforts continue and traffic conditions evolve.
