Drunk Man Steals Children's Bicycle, Falls Asleep Near Highway Ramp
Authorities responded to an unusual incident involving a Polish citizen who was found asleep beside a highway ramp in Floridsdorf, Vienna. The individual, exhibiting signs of extreme intoxication, was discovered lying next to the guardrail by officers from the Ziegelofenweg police station.
When awoken, the man was unharmed but demonstrated a blood alcohol level of 2.74 promille, a significantly high amount indicating severe intoxication. According to police reports, the man claimed to have arrived at the highway ramp between 5:00 and 5:30 AM.
However, he was unable to explain how he ended up in that location or from where he had taken the bicycle he was found with. The police took custody of the bicycle, which was confirmed to be stolen.
The individual was subsequently transported to a local hospital by emergency services for further evaluation. This incident highlights the ongoing issues surrounding public intoxication and its potential consequences, as well as the necessity for awareness regarding road safety and the protection of personal property.
