Firefighting Drill at Dobersberg Airfield Enhances Pilot Safety Preparedness
Every two years, the Dobersberg Airfield becomes the site of a comprehensive emergency response exercise, designed to ensure that pilots and emergency personnel are prepared for potential incidents. The latest drill simulated a blaze in an old hangar, challenging multiple firefighting units and emergency services to respond promptly and effectively.
For this exercise, fire brigades from Dobersberg, Merkengersch, Riegers, Hohenau, and Goschenreith collaborated, deploying a total of six emergency vehicles and approximately 25 firefighters to the scene.
