Burglary at Ernsthofen Municipal Office: Cash Stolen
The Ernsthofen Municipal Office fell victim to a burglary, with the perpetrator managing to bypass security measures to steal a small amount of cash. The incident occurred when the suspect climbed onto the flat roof of the building from the east side, adjacent to the parish office. From there, they accessed multiple floors and reached the window in the stairwell on the southwest side of the municipal office.
Using a flathead screwdriver, which was later left at the scene, the intruder forced open the window and entered the office premises. Once inside, the burglar thoroughly searched all rooms and furniture. Notably, they also broke into the key cabinet, which contained keys to other public facilities, although no items were taken from there.
Ultimately, the thief left with only a small amount of cash. Authorities were able to secure a shoe print from the scene, along with DNA evidence, which they hope will aid in identifying the suspect. The local police department has initiated an investigation into the incident and is appealing to the public for any information that could assist in apprehending the individual responsible.
