Tragic Accident Claims Life of 15-Year-Old Driver

A tragic accident occurred in the St. Martin district of Traun, Linz-Land, when a 15-year-old boy lost his life while driving a car. The incident took place on Thursday evening as the teenager, who did not possess a valid driver's license, attempted an overtaking maneuver. Unfortunately, he lost control of the vehicle, which subsequently crashed into a steel advertising board before landing on its roof in a roadside ditch.

Alongside the driver were two friends, aged 17 and 19, who sustained serious injuries in the crash. Emergency responders were able to extricate the older passengers from the severely damaged vehicle and transported them to the hospital for treatment. However, the 15-year-old remained trapped inside the car and required rescue efforts from the local fire department. Despite attempts at resuscitation, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
