Road Construction Works to Begin on Floridsdorfer Hauptstraße

In the 21st district of Vienna, essential road construction activities are set to commence on the Floridsdorfer Hauptstraße, specifically in the segment stretching from Jedleseer Straße to Fännergasse. The project is scheduled to start on May 6, 2025, as announced by the city's road management and construction department.

The need for these repairs arises from deterioration over time and previous excavations conducted by utility services. The construction will include both road and sidewalk repairs in the specified area, ensuring safer travel for pedestrians and vehicles alike.

Traffic measures will be implemented to manage the flow during construction hours, during which one lane will remain open to maintain access. However, during works in Fännergasse, vehicles will not be able to enter from Floridsdorfer Hauptstraße. Drivers are advised to use alternative routes via Jedleseer Straße, Pichelwangergasse, and Fännergasse to navigate around the construction zone.

The designated construction site encompasses the Floridsdorfer Hauptstraße between Jedleseer Straße and Fännergasse, as well as the section of Fännergasse located before its intersection with Floridsdorfer Hauptstraße.
