The Melk District Rural Youth Association recently convened its annual general meeting at the Hirschenwirt Inn in Nölling. The event provided an opportunity to reflect on the achievements and activities of the past year, and more importantly, to elect a new leadership team for the upcoming term.
Corina Beierl will continue her role as district chairperson, entering her second year in this position. Joining her as the newly elected district chairman is Tobias Knedelstorfer, who will take on this leadership responsibility for the first time. Together, they will guide the association through the coming year, supported by a dedicated team of deputies and officers.
The leadership team is further strengthened by Niklas Wallner and Anna Blauensteiner, who will serve as deputy leaders. The administrative roles have also been assigned, with Anika Pemmer taking on the responsibilities of secretary. Financial oversight will be managed by Philipp Schoderbeck, who assumes the role of treasurer. Internal financial audits will be conducted by Lorenz Schmoll and Thomas Sulzer, ensuring transparent and accountable handling of the association's funds.
During the assembly, special recognition was given to members for their outstanding contributions and achievements. Bronze and silver performance badges were awarded to individuals who demonstrated exceptional commitment and accomplishment within the organization. In addition, educational certificates were distributed, acknowledging members' participation in training and development initiatives that strengthen the skills and knowledge base of the association.
One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of an honorary badge to Kevin Gruber, who previously held the position of district chairman from 2020 to 2022. This honor was bestowed in appreciation of his dedicated service and leadership during his tenure, reflecting the association's commitment to recognizing the efforts of its past leaders.
The Melk District Rural Youth Association plays a significant role in supporting the development of young people in the region, offering a platform for engagement, skill-building, and community involvement. With the new leadership team in place, the association is poised to continue its mission of fostering youth participation in local and regional initiatives.
Looking ahead, the newly elected leaders expressed their intention to build upon the successes of previous years, maintain the association's active presence in the community, and provide meaningful opportunities for members to develop both personally and professionally. The general meeting concluded with a sense of optimism and enthusiasm for the year ahead, as the Rural Youth Association reaffirmed its commitment to serving the interests of young people throughout the Melk district.
